Đurić Confers with New Ambassador of Algeria
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Marko Đurić met today with the Ambassador of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, Moncef Mansri.
Minister Đurić welcomed the new Ambassador and expressed his confidence that, through their joint engagement, they would contribute to the further advancement of the overall relations between the two countries.
The Serbian Foreign Minister underscored that Serbia and Algeria are bound by decades of friendship and reaffirmed Serbia’s commitment to further enhancing and strengthening bilateral ties.
The interlocutors noted that the continued development of political dialogue and the exchange of visits at high and highest levels are important for strengthening bilateral relations and discussed concrete steps in this direction during today’s meeting.
Minister Đurić expressed his gratitude for Algeria’s principled position regarding the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia, as well as for its consistent support in international organisations.
The interlocutors also highlighted the considerable potential for further developing economic cooperation, with the Minister noting that Serbia is interested in advancing cooperation in agriculture, healthcare and trade, as well as in other areas of mutual interest.
Minister Đurić expressed particular satisfaction that Ambassador Mansri’s tenure would also be marked by Algeria’s participation in the prestigious international Specialized Expo 2027 in Belgrade, which will provide an opportunity to showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage to visitors from around the world.
